The University of Southern Queensland's Centre for Agricultural Engineering (CAE) is focused on delivering applied, practical and profitable research solutions that strengthen agricultural productivity and address environmental management challenges in Australia and Overseas.

The Robotics, Automation and Machine Vision team develops integrated advanced robotic sensing technologies that enhance automation in agricultural and food production. A key area of the program team is machine perception to discriminate conditions in real-time for automated food and meat processing.

Who you are
We are seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic team at CAE. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of innovative machine perception techniques to optimise meat and food processing through robotics. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, consistency, and quality of agricultural and food production processes.

Term : Full-time Contingent Funded Appointment (37.5 hrs/week)

Salary : Total remuneration range $125,372 to $148,185 pa (includes salary range of $105,933 to $125,209 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
