Offer Description Full-time, Fixed term position until 15 June 2026 Campbelltown Campus The School of Science is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow Biomedical Engineering until June 2026.
About the role The Postdoctoral Researcher will be expected to be primarily engaged in the NHMRC-funded project:
"Wireless stimulator with no impinging electrodes, circuitry and connections for improving nerve regeneration in a crush injury model". The primary responsibility of this position will be to conduct research activities aimed at enhancing nerve regeneration utilizing wireless technology and oversee project organization, including coordinating experiments, managing data, and ensuring compliance with research protocols. This appointment will collaborate with postgraduate students involved in the project, providing support and fostering a collaborative research environment. Additionally, this position will actively participate in research meetings, seminars, and conferences, contributing to the overall success of the team and facilitating the dissemination of research outcomes within the scientific community.
Skills and Experiences The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in subjects such as in vivo models, biomaterials, electrophysiology, and wireless technology. A demonstrated understanding of animal welfare and ethics is essential. The successful applicant will have experience in advancing research projects from their inception through to publication, and a proven track record of adhering to WHS and Biosafety procedures.
Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Campbelltown campus; however, as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university, travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A $106,765 to $128,989 p.a. (comprising Salary of $90,218 to $108,997 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
