To learn more about the School click here We are currently seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Human-Centred Data Science for Education and Health group.
The successful candidate will work with Professor Kalina Yacef on a range of Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED) and Educational Data Mining (EDM) projects focused on how data from online teaching tools and sensors can be harnessed to improve learning, such as generating smart personalised feedback, analysing learning behaviours from multimodal learning data and distilling patterns via learning dashboards.
In this role you will conduct high-quality research, lead or contribute to publications and research grant submissions, participate actively in the supervision of research students (PhD and Honours) and support the technical aspects of the projects.

As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned to these values and are looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Educational Data Science who has: A PhD (or in near completion) in the relevant fields of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, HCI.
demonstrated contributions to publications in top tier conferences and journals in data mining/machine learning, Artificial Intelligence in Education and Educational Data Mining, Human-Computer Interaction.
Strong technical expertise in data mining, data management, and machine learning.
motivation to conduct interdisciplinary work and engage with researchers from other fields.
experience in conducting research/scholarly activities under limited supervision and as part of a research team.
demonstrated ability to contribute to publications, grant writing and other project outputs.
excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
