We create, share, and apply scientific knowledge to improve health by building new technology for cancer imaging and targeted radiation therapy.
We engage with industry, hospitals, international collaborators, and universities to forge relationships that help take our projects from lab bench to patient bedside.
Image X is a part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney.We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (level A/B) to work on a research project harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve radiation therapy treatment for cancer patients.Your key responsibilities will be to:Advance the science and clinical practice of cancer imaging and targeted radiation therapyCreate, develop, experimentally and clinically implement mechanistic and AI-based algorithmsSupport the acquisition and analysis of clinical data, and an imaging, software, and equipment infrastructureAbout youAn awarded or near completed Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., Medical Physics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering)Demonstrated experience or knowledge in one or more of the following:Software and mathematical algorithm development, especially in artificial intelligenceWorking with X-ray equipment, linear accelerators, MRI scanners, PET, or other scientific/medical devicesWorking with a variety of experts in different fields (e.g., radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, physicists, engineers, clinicians, etc.
