This full-time, fixed-term position of 3 years offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.Postdoctoral Research Associate in Multi-Camera Visual-Inertial SLAM TechnologyDesignationPostdoctoral Research AssociateResearch AreaComputer ScienceLocationUniversity of Sydney, Sydney, AustraliaA PhD (or near completion) in Robotics, Computer Vision, or a related discipline .Strong background in mathematics and experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, and Python.Knowledge of multiple view geometry, visual tracking, estimation, visual-inertial SLAM, and calibration techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and coordinate multiple project objectives.Job DescriptionAs a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will:Work closely with project academics, engineers, and PhD students to develop novel visual-inertial systems for autonomous navigation.Evaluate and validate the accuracy and robustness of the solutions.Support the integration of algorithms with other modules to achieve autonomy.Contribute to the creation of a demonstrator system showcasing the research.Prepare project reports and presentations, and disseminate findings at top international conferences and journals, as well as internal workshops.You will be part of the Australian Robotic Inspection and Management Research Hub (ARIAM), collaborating with leading academic researchers and industry experts in robotics for asset management.
