Offer DescriptionFull time position, fixed term for 2.5 years with the possibility of extension. Located on the Camperdown Campus at the University of Sydney.Contribute to the interdisciplinary research stream of Organising for Resilience.Base Salary: $105K - $127K + 17% superannuation.About the opportunity We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate/Fellow - Organising for Resilience to join the University of Sydney.
The role is primarily based in the School of Project Management and will work closely with interdisciplinary teams across various fields to advance research on climate change and global grand challenges.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Work closely with interdisciplinary scholars, government agencies, and private businesses.Develop collaborative research proposals and research plans.Conduct research, including research design, ethics approval, data collection, analysis, and reporting.Write academic papers, industry reports, and research communication articles.Develop and deliver research outputs and tools; present results and research translation.Coordinate research teams.About you The University values courage and creativity; openness and engagement; inclusion and diversity; and respect and integrity. A PhD in a relevant field such as Management, Organization Studies, Urban Studies, Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Computer Sciences, or Engineering, with a strong track record in research on disaster management, extreme contexts, and resilience.The ability to work with industry partners and sustain relationships with them.Capabilities to work both independently and as part of a team.Outstanding interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.A willingness to collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.Previous experience within a research environment and publication in relevant journals.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our COVID safety precautions which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students, and visitors coming to campus.
