Post Doctoral Research Fellow (Climate Velocity)POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSCHOOL OF SCIENCEJOONDALUP CAMPUSACADEMIC LEVEL B $113,918 - $134,596pa (PRO RATA)PART-TIME (0.4 FTE), 1.5-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACTOverviewThe School of Science and Centre for Marine Ecosystems Research at ECU seeks a research scientist in quantitative fisheries science, applied statistics, or statistical data science to develop models of climate velocity and marine heatwave impacts on marine species and habitats.
This research will establish a robust framework for predicting multispecies distributions across Western Australia.
The position contributes to a Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science, and Innovation (JTSI) funded project titled "Advance predictions of WA marine heatwaves and impacts on marine ecosystems" and involves collaboration with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD).About YouThe successful candidate will have personal attributes that align with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence, and Courage.Benefits & RemunerationThis part-time (0.4 FTE), fixed term position attracts a pro-rata salary based on a full-time equivalent of $113,918 - $134,596pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
