The Research Fellow (Level A) position at the UNSW Canberra School of Science is pivotal in advancing our understanding of bushfire dynamics and their environmental impact. This role contributes to developing effective strategies for managing and mitigating bushfire risks, supports related research activities, supervises students, and may assist with teaching.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
Our ideal candidate will have:
PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Atmospheric Science, or a similar discipline. Proven ability to conduct high-quality academic research and publish in reputable journals. Experience in modelling physical and/or environmental systems. Ability to engage and collaborate with industry partners. Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication abilities. Commitment to completing tasks within agreed time frames and staying updated with discipline developments. Benefits and Culture:
