We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to become the Educational Leader for our service.
Our not-for-profit organisation has been successfully operating for over 37 years and is located in the heart of Wagga Wagga.
The Educational Leader will oversee the programming and planning for the service, to ensure they are meeting all aspects of QA1.
Duties include:
Support and oversee all Educators to plan and implement child-centred, high-quality educational programs based on children's strengths and interests.
Ensure the learning and development occurring is clearly documented and aligns with the EYLF, NQF, and National Regulations.
Drive the team to achieve and maintain quality according to NQF.
Work with the Centre Director, 2IC and Upper Management on the Quality Improvement Plan / Self-Assessment and delivery of the quality throughout the centre in Quality Areas 1, 3, 5 & 7.
Ensure the quality of observations are maintained and delivered for every child.
Inspire and challenge daily thinking surrounding early childhood development, learning and the theory related to and behind it.
Lead, support and mentor our team of motivated educators within our service.
Interact with children and families in a positive, sensitive and respectful manner building strong, positive relationships.
Work cohesively with other team members using consultative, interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Foster a culture of reflective practice, which leads to the continued development and improvement of the service.
Use effective time management skills.
Actively contribute to ensuring the service achieves its ongoing goals and KPIs.
Work with management and ensure that the service is running according to all regulatory requirements.
Work with the Centre Director to help develop professional development courses for all staff based on your observations and mentoring.
Applicants must have:
Approved Early Childhood Qualification (minimum Diploma level).
Experience as an Educational Leader or Room Leader.
Current approved First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualification.
Successful completion of relevant Child Protection training.
Current Working With Children Check.
Experience using online portfolio systems, preferably OWNA; however, this is not required.
Safe Food Handling.
Excellent communication skills.
