An exciting, new opportunity exists to contribute to the South Australian Government's implementation of a school-wide Positive Behaviour for Learning framework in selected government schools.
The South Australian Department for Education has committed to a strategy that includes equity and inclusion as key areas of impact.
This includes a strong focus on embedding a positive behaviour for learning approach aligned with the department's Behaviour Support Policy.
The Positive Behaviour for Learning Mentor will work collaboratively with the Lead Practitioner, Positive Behaviour for Learning, school leaders, educators and support staff to provide timely, strategic, informed, best practice advice to build both system level support and schools' capacity to implement a Positive Behaviour for Learning approach.
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department of Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
A current DHS child-related employment screening will be recognised as a WWCC until it expires.
The incumbent will be required to undertake Responding to Abuse & Neglect (RAN) full day/online training course every three years.
