They maintain their cool, know how to be effective in the role, and are committed to our mission and core values - Being Respectful, Taking Ownership, Celebrating Life, and Backing Up the Team.The Liquivida Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the Accounting department for 5 entities in the organization, including several brick-and-mortar wellness centers, the franchisor company, and the distribution/e-commerce outlet. This role will also assist in the training of franchisees in revenue recording and payment reconciliation. This position will report to the CFO/ Vice President.What We Are Looking ForPerform full-cycle accounting for multiple entitiesRecord and reconcile daily revenue and inventory/expense activities for multiple entitiesPerform month-end close activities including detailed review of GL, revenue recognition, complex journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis between multiple subsidiaries through intercompany transactionsPrepare inventory adjustments, maintain prepaid, accrualsManage inventory valuation for cost analysisReconcile intercompany transactionsWork with CFO, CPA, and external auditors for annual audit workLeverage Liquivida's accounting system to produce financial reports while maintaining the confidentiality of all business financials.Develop, maintain, and follow procedures to ensure Liquivida's accounting function is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.Contribute to the development of internal controls to confirm the completion and accuracy of routine accounting responsibilities.Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency and accuracy of underlying accounting records and accounting systems/applications and reduce time to close.Invoice franchisees and subsidiaries for shared company expenses every monthDemonstrate critical thinking and the ability to solve challenging, complex issues in a collaborative environment.Follow up with franchisees on complex accounting issuesTrain franchise bookkeeping staffOversee and record expense reporting from team membersAnalyze A/R or A/P accounts to ensure there are no errors in the systemResearch and resolve discrepancies with other Staff Accountants, Store Managers, and CFOs as neededAssist management with special projects when requestedAssist in growing the Accounting departmentQualifications/SkillsStrong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.4 years of Accounting experienceSolid analytical, mathematical, and research skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailExceptional organizational skillsSelf-starterEducation/Experience NeedBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationMaster's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plusAchievement of the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designations is a plusExperience in Franchise Accounting is a plus
