We are currently looking for a dedicated disabilities services officer to work closely with our clients and their teams to provide care, education, and community access to people with intellectual, physical, social, and emotional disabilities.
Roles and responsibilities include: Working with the client's stakeholders, care staff, and support coordination team to provide education and community access to clients with disabilities.Assessing the influences on clients' behaviour and designing interventions to increase their quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.Conducting interviews with clients and their families to assess the extent and nature of their difficulties.Identifying the needs of clients with disabilities and creating, developing, and implementing educational, training, and support plans and programs.Helping clients with addressing social, emotional, and financial issues.Monitoring clients' progress and providing reports.Referring clients to additional support agencies as needed.Preparing funding and resource requests, as well as reports for government bodies and other agencies.Providing ongoing training to carers and other stakeholders, and developing a high standard of care.Connecting clients to appropriate external services for additional support when needed.Engaging across disability and community services, home environments, and school settings to help increase a client's quality of life.You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to apply. Skills and Qualifications: Minimum qualification of AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or at least 3 years of relevant experience in a related field.Experience: 2 years minimum experience as a Disabilities Services Officer or in a related field.Location: AdelaideSalary Offered: Base rate of $100,000 - $125,000, plus Superannuation.Travel reimbursement of $1 per KM.$6,000 clinical supervision, per year.$500 professional development, per year.Potential yearly bonus - Performance-based.Employment Type: Full TimeWe look forward to your application!
