Job No: 496792 Work Type: Full time Location: Various National Archives is looking for a Portfolio Support Officer in our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) within the Transformation Office. You will contribute to the successful delivery of organizational projects and undertake effective coordination, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and performance monitoring. The successful candidate will be joining a newly formed, small, but enthusiastic team who are committed to building a successful new EPMO function and making a positive impact in terms of how National Archives delivers change. You should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. The Transformation Office currently has staff in the following offices: Brisbane (Cannon Hill) Queensland, Sydney (Chester Hill) New South Wales, Melbourne (North Melbourne) Victoria and Canberra (Mitchell / Parkes) Australian Capital Territory. We will consider other National Archives state offices for the right person; Perth (Northbridge) Western Australia, Darwin (Millner) Northen Territory, Adelaide (CBD) South Australia and Hobart (CBD) Tasmania. Under broad direction, the main duties of the role are to: Assist in developing portfolio plans, strategies, and objectives aligned with organisational goals Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on portfolio performance, highlighting key achievements, risks, and challenges. Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing insights and analysis based on portfolio data. Build and maintain effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing. Contribute to the development and review of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to portfolio management and project governance. Conduct evaluations and analysis to measure outcomes and identify areas for improvement. Support capability development initiatives within the portfolio, such as training programs, skills assessments, and knowledge sharing activities. Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in project management and portfolio governance. Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity principles, work health and safety and participative management within a work and team environment. Promote and apply the National Archives' Vision, Mission and Commitments as expressed in Strategy 2030 and Our Values . Relevant qualifications or experience with portfolio, program or project management would be highly rated. Eligibility: To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen. If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.
