The Portfolio Planning and Governance Manager will play a key role in facilitating our ways of working utilizing Agile methodology and tooling to effectively govern and implement business portfolio including annual and quarterly planning process. This is a highly visible role collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure effective portfolio governance to deliver key strategic outcomes. The role will also work with the delivery and Tribe leads across the Customer Success and wider Optus enterprise to help develop and implement program strategies that align to our strategic goals. Facilitate and implement quarterly planning, supporting Tribe capacity areas, and aiding in decision-making for senior business partners and executive leaders. Play a central role in Big Room planning, ensuring information is coordinated into the EDO capacity planning and prioritization tool. Support the AOP planning process, working closely with business, commercial, and strategy teams, and manage financial activities including business case development and validation. Implement and improve governance and reporting structures, embedding the best process and ensuring consistency and transparency. Apply data analytics to build compelling visualizations that aid in decision-making, and manage partner relationships to ensure alignment with business and strategic goals. Drive the adoption of digital tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), support resourcing planning and allocation, and assist with procurement requirements when required. It starts with you! Business degree or equivalent qualification, with additional certifications in Agile, Black Belt, or Organizational Change, complemented by proven equivalent and relevant industry experience. Hands-on experience as a PMO Manager or in a similar role, successfully managing quarterly and annual planning processes. Extensive experience in IT, Telecommunications, and Digital/AI, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Jira Align. Ability to build clear, data-driven business submissions and manage sophisticated programs with multiple customers to achieve successful outcomes. Strong ability and willingness to coach, mentor, and influence others, encouraging positive relationships and driving collaboration. Adaptable and composed, whilst thriving in fast-paced environments, consistently navigating and championing change with ease.
