The Team and Role
The
Portfolio team
sits within the Portfolio & Strategy function under the Chief Commercial Office to coordinate initiatives to drive enterprise-wide profitable growth, monitor insurance portfolio performance and drive the overall insurance portfolio strategy.
Key responsibilities (not limited to):
Identify, coordinate and prioritise initiatives to drive the profitable growth of Hollard's insurance portfolios through a collaborative approach across internal stakeholders. Where required, initiatives may need to be quantified within the Portfolio team.
Contribute to the development of cost-benefit analysis or business case (as appropriate) to assess return-on-investment across different portfolio initiatives.
Consider and advise on recommendations from Commercial teams to ensure an aligned portfolio strategy, consistency in approach and achievement of portfolio targets.
Support the governance of portfolio management & monitoring across Hollard.
Support portfolio forums including the authorship of materials and driving the agendas, note-taking, and tracking of actions and minutes.
About You
Experience in general insurance is a must, with a solid understanding of insurance value chain and profit & loss drivers.
Industry/business knowledge of the Australian General Insurance market (preferably with experience of Home, Motor and Commercial SME insurance).
Experience in requirements gathering, business analysis, project scoping.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of insurance portfolio monitoring, analysis and management approaches.
High level of competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
