Are you passionate about portfolio and project governance?
Join our team as a Portfolio Interface Partner where you will play a vital role in ensuring all projects are delivered in accordance with the established Portfolio Governance Framework. This role will encompass conducting quality checks on artefacts at various stage gates and performing necessary project reviews and checks on major projects, to ensure the project status reporting accurately reflects underlying performance.
You will be the key interface of support and advice to project stakeholders on governance related matters.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with project initiator and delivery stakeholders to provide valued governance support and advice for the assigned capital portfolios. Coaching and training relevant business stakeholders on governance requirements, tools, and processes per the Portfolio Governance Framework. Reviewing and processing Business Cases, Project Change Requests, and other relevant documents at each stage gate, ensuring artefacts submitted are of high quality, accurate and contain the appropriate level of information for decision making. Conducting periodic project reviews and governance checks particularly on large and/or high-risk projects to ensure reported project statuses and commentaries are current, accurate, and reflective of the underlying performance. Facilitating regular governance meetings with relevant stakeholders and ensuring corrective actions are undertaken in a timely manner, escalating to the Portfolio Governance Manager where necessary. Maintaining regular oversight on the level of compliance and effectiveness of governance processes, as well as seeking actively feedback from stakeholders to determine if governance processes need to be adapted or changed to better suit business needs. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities with regards to process documents, templates, standard forms, and training materials. Performing ad-hoc project work or related duties as required. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Extensive knowledge of program and project management principles, typically acquired through hands-on experience in delivering capital projects and relevant qualifications (e.g., PMBOK, Prince2). Strong grasp of portfolio governance frameworks, with a proven track record of collaborating with diverse stakeholders to implement process improvements. Understanding of concepts related to project accounting, forecasting, and budgeting. Ability to present and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated capability to identify the root causes of process inefficiencies and implement necessary improvements with minimal supervision. We believe in more than just competitive pay.
