Make your mark Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance, and reserving losses for AIG's major insurance operating companies globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing, and Risk Management, among other functions. How you will create an impact The AIG Actuarial team is made up of Portfolio Analytics, Reserving, and Pricing Actuaries. Reserving Actuaries quantify reserving losses for AIG's major regulated and rated insurance operating companies. Portfolio Analytics and Pricing Actuaries support AIG's businesses and are responsible for technical pricing, product development analytics, and performance measurement in collaboration with Underwriters, Distribution, Operations, and Financial Management. The successful candidate will be supporting the Chief Actuary. The candidate will be a member of the wider APAC actuarial team and may be tasked with providing advice to the business functions including profit centres, underwriting, finance, and risk management. Key accountabilities will include but are not limited to: Proactively engage with profit centre managers, functions, and Actuaries to understand reporting requirements and lead the Portfolio Analytics team to develop new or expanded portfolio monitoring capabilities. Drive reporting initiatives across a multitude of platforms for audiences across all products, regions, and management to support business needs and underwriting results. Contribute to/drive change management and adoption of portfolio monitoring tools, engaging target user groups. Strive for continuous improvement in coverage, accuracy, and adoption of portfolio monitoring tools. Utilise tools to identify strategic underwriting and pricing initiatives for the wider team. Assist in other ad-hoc analyses as required. What you'll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Actuarial or related field preferred. Creative mindset and problem-solving skills. Analytical and conceptual skills, within the insurance industry preferred. Proven track record of collaboration across functions delivering quality, accurate results in an efficient manner. Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Familiarity with data modelling and experience working within complex data environments. Professional behaviour with high level of integrity, including strong interpersonal skills. Effective project & time management. Strong oral and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel required. Experience in Power BI, R, Python programming preferred. 10 - 15+ years of analytical experience, within the insurance industry preferred.
