Company: Marsh We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh Credit Specialities team at Marsh. This role will be based in the Melbourne office and requires working at least three days a week in the office. An exciting opportunity has become available to work in the Marsh Political Risk and Structured Credit team. The Portfolio Analyst provides support relating to the Political Risk and Structured Credit team's live portfolio, transaction execution, and wider business development efforts. In this Melbourne-based role, you will have the opportunity to progress into a client and carrier relationship role following the completion of key development milestones over 18-24 months. We will count on you to: Maintain and Analyze Portfolio Data:Track pending and live portfolio data, including billing activity.Prepare and maintain Deal Folders, Desktop Pipeline Spreadsheets, and Deal Market Sheets.Input and extract Helios Data on an ad-hoc basis.Maintain CRM (MPower) Records:Ensure accurate entry and updates of revenue projections and bookings.Prepare MPower reports and dashboards for senior team members as required.Policy Documentation:Draft Premium Calculation Sheets and Policy Schedules.Review Policy Wordings prepared by senior team members (non-technical analysis).Drive Billing Processes:Collaborate effectively with Marsh Client Operations for accurate and timely drafting of premium calculation sheets and review of invoices and closings.Track and action overdue invoices and closings between clients, insurers, Marsh offices, and the Accounts Team.Accounts Management:Respond to audit requests from Marsh Accounts.Address client ledger balance requests. What you need to have: Completion or near completion of an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.Basic understanding and interest in capital markets.6-12 months of experience in a back/middle office role in the banking or financial services industry.Team-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent time management skills and a "can-do" attitude with an eagerness to learn.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
