Banking & Finance Stock Broking Melbourne Permanent / Full Time Our Client Our client is a leading organisation in financial services.
Based in the heart of Melbourne, our client is looking for a Portfolio Administrator to join their growing team.
Description Reporting to the Portfolio Administration Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to: Corporate Actions Administration and processing.
Diarise and maintain corporate action diary.
Client & Adviser notifications of upcoming events.
Follow up on outstanding elections.
Process client instructions via cash payments.
Audit client instructions.
Review ATO announcements and ensure correct processing of corporate action events.
Create corporate action templates with inhouse system.
Investigate and resolve Cash and Stock reconciliation issues.
Assist in Quarterly and Annual Tax Reports for clients in a timely manner.
Investigate and respond to adhoc adviser and client queries.
Assist the rest of the Portfolio team with adhoc portfolio administration tasks and projects.
Act as an ambassador for the company brand by upholding the corporate values in your day-to-day work and interaction with clients and staff.
Profile As an ideal applicant, you will have;    EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS   Previous experience in a broker firm (finance/admin).
Sound knowledge of tax matters in relation to share trading.
Especially around implications of corporate action events.
Sound knowledge of share market and processes involved with share trading.
Knowledge of functions and departments within a broking firm.
Capability with financial wealth management programs, Word and Excel.

Bringing new ideas and process improvements to the organisation.
Great rapport with clients and advisors.
