Job Title: Portfolio Accountant Location: Adelaide, SA Reporting To: Head of Client Accounting Portfolio Accountant – Due to an internal promotion, we have been asked to find a new Portfolio Accountant for this company.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working within a dedicated Client Accounting team.
You will play a vital role in supporting Property Managers across several states ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all trust accounting tasks required for property management.
The Role – As a Portfolio Accountant, you will manage trust accounting, lease administration, and financial reporting for property portfolios.
You'll maintain data integrity, support Property Managers and work directly under the Head of Client Accounting.
Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and perform accurately, timely and completely all Trust Accounting tasks as required.
This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to deliver high-quality service to both internal and external clients.
You will assist in the maintenance of the Property Management and Trust Accounting systems.
You will also assist in the ongoing development of standardised trust accounting and property management procedures.
About You – Qualifications: Accounting qualification – degree or diploma.
Experience: Prior experience in commercial property trust accounting and financial reporting is essential.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a strong understanding of general accounting practices.
Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite intermediate knowledge.
Experience with MRI Software is desirable but not essential.
Team Player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Attributes: Positive, can-do attitude.
Flexible; ability to work in a role where tasks are wide and varied.
Self-starter with a pro-active approach.
Organized, enthusiastic, and motivated.
