The role :
Our Retail Management team is recognised as a leader in delivering top-tier management to a national retail landlord with centers across Australia.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Portfolio Accountant to join our dynamic onsite team in Sydney. This exciting role involves supporting a busy National Portfolio and collaborating closely with our Client Financial Services team to meet our client's objectives.
Key responsibilities :
Provide month end reporting to the client, including preparation of accruals, prepayments, IFRS adjustments and variance reporting.
Respond to client queries in relation to monthly reports.
Preparation of yearly property outgoings, preparation of tenant reconciliations and year property budgets and forecasts.
Preparation of bank reconciliation for review.
Work with the team to perform take on of new property set ups.
Raise ad-hoc tenant charges.
Assist and perform ad hoc project work as required.
Input budget and forecast data into accounting system (MRI)
Who are we looking for?
Degree qualification in accounting
1 to 2 years' experience working in Management and Financial accounting
Understanding of the property industry (Desirable)
Strong client service focus
Excellent Excel skills, (Pivot, Vlookup)
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Ability to analyse and communicate financial information
Ability to work as part of a team
Accounting software (MRI) (Desirable)
