The role: Our Portfolio Accounting team is recognised as a leader in delivering top-tier accounting services to a large national landlord with assets across Australia.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Portfolio Accountant to join our dynamic team in Melbourne.
This exciting role involves supporting a portfolio and collaborating closely with our Client Financial Services team to meet our client's objectives.
Key responsibilities: Provide month end reporting to the client, including analysis of accruals, prepayments, IFRS adjustments and variance reporting.
Respond to ad-hoc client queries in relation to financials and processes.
Preparation of yearly property outgoings, preparation of tenant reconciliations and annual property budgets and forecasts.
Work with the team to perform take on of new property set ups.
Provide support to external management teams on processes and systems Assist and perform ad hoc project work as required.
Monthly system and report checks to ensure data integrity.
Input budget and forecast data into accounting system (MRI).

Degree qualification in accounting 1 to 2 years' experience working in Management and Financial accounting Understanding of the property industry (Desirable) Strong client service focus Excellent Excel skills, (Pivot, Vlookup) Excellent written and spoken communication skills Ability to analyse and communicate financial information Ability to work as part of a team Accounting software (MRI) (Desirable) Not the perfect fit?
