Peppers Silo Hotel is an inspiring $30 million redevelopment of the Kings Wharf grain silos in Launceston, Tasmania. The nine-storey hotel consists of 108 rooms, including 52 in the barrels of the former silos, and overlooks the nearby tourist drawcards of Seaport, Royal Park, the Tamar River Basin and Cataract Gorge. On our ground floor you will find Silo Day Spa, and Level 1 you will find Grain of the Silos offering dining experiences across the restaurant, café and Woody's Bar where local produce is at the heart of all creations. Launceston, the largest city in northern Tasmania is a gastronomic hub and offers a diverse range of wineries, distilleries, markets and art galleries to explore during your down time.
Purpose As a Porter, your role is all about making our hotel guests' stay as smooth as possible. You will be there to help with luggage, warmly greet guests, offer concierge services, and assist with transportation and parking. Your focus? Ensuring our guests feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to enjoy their time with us.
Primary Responsibilities Be the initial friendly face that guests encounter upon arriving at the property.Craft an authentic and inviting first impression.Consistently deliver top-notch customer service to guests throughout their stay.Lend a hand with parking guests' cars, making their experience hassle-free.Store luggage and deliver bags to and from rooms as part of your hands-on duties.Skills and Experience Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.Good grasp of local knowledge or the ability to quickly learn and improve current knowledge.Possessing an open (manual) drivers licence is advantageous.Remarkable customer service aptitude accompanied by a friendly and enthusiastic demeanour.At Accor, we welcome you as you are.
