Rare Opportunity to join ACFS as our Port Logistics Manager. Based at the Port of Brisbane you will be reporting to our QLD State Manager. This job is pivotal to the success of the QLD Warehouse Division. The Port Logistics Manager is responsible for supporting the overall management of all day-to-day operations of the 3PL Warehouses, and Containers Freight Services (CFS/FAK).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and implement ongoing operational processes and practices Implement initiatives to ensure cost containment, maximising profit and achieving budgetsDrive new customer partnerships and maintain existing customer relationshipsDeliver and manage productive outcomes through effective utilisation of warehousing resources, ensuring receiving, storage, and distribution of products are maintained in accordance with ACFS and customer protocolsMaximise revenue opportunities by ensuring all services performed in a timely manner and processed accurately through WMS Control, monitor and audit Customs, AQIS, DG or any licensed products storedManage supply chain processes in support of the customer with relevant internal stakeholdersOversee the management of internal and external logistics partners to ensure DIFOT targets are maintainedMaintain inventory management systems to ensure stock level reporting are accurateAdvocate for continuous improvement programmes and initiatives that delivers best in class performanceFull P&L ownership and management of the warehousing division (3PL and CFS/FAK) Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors approving expenditure to meet budgetSupport commercial team in the submission of rates for tender bids to ensure margins are maintainedResponsible for KPI performance reporting to the business and executive leadership teamWorks closely with Health and Safety to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR)STAFF: Lead and mentor warehouse operations management team, fostering a positive and productive work environmentLiaise with our P&C team on recruitment of staff within the 3PL DivisionComplete and submit annual performance reviewsConduct toolbox meetings and ensure staff are aware of OH&S practicesPLANNING: Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities relating to warehouse operations ensuring labour plans achieve and maintain KPI targetsManage and assess warehouse capacity and capability to support customer requirementsEnsure all fleet and equipment is operated, maintained as per service level agreements, and secured in accordance with ACFS verification of competencies policiesAUTHORISATION & CHECKING: Authorise and approve invoices and ensuring accuracyAuthorise credit notes, investigate cause to mitigate future discrepanciesAuthorise casual labour hire, equipment hire and other supplier invoices confirming charges are accurate WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO US: Proven successful background in a warehouse leadership role.Extensive 3PL warehousing experience on a large-scale dynamic operationStrong commercial and financial acumenAbility to drive and achieve financial and operational targetsExperience and working knowledge of WMS – preferably PaperlessStrong communication (written and verbal)Able to lead and develop a teamPlanning and organisational skillsAttention to detailBy choosing to work at ACFS, you will be shaping the future of logistics and creating a career at Australia's largest privately owned container logistics operator ACFS is the largest privately owned container logistics operator in Australia.
