The primary role of the Manager – Inspectorate North West is to lead and manage assigned teams to meet objectives and regulatory responsibilities to work toward assisting workplaces to be a safe environment for workers and the community.

Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight- flexible options available.
Duties Coordinate the investigation of complaints and incidents associated with the legislation administered by WorkSafe Tasmania and ensuring appropriate investigation standards are maintained.
Lead and develop team members by providing guidance, coaching, mentoring and support, in often complex situations, in order to maintain and improve health and safety within Tasmanian workplaces.
Monitor compliance standards of Tasmanian workplaces against established criteria including coordinating field-based compliance inspections using discretionary powers to assist or direct workplaces to improve safe systems of work.
Prepare and oversee the development of high level ministerial and legal documents including files for consideration by the coroner or prosecution and attend court and tribunal hearings as required.
Assist in the development and implementation of operational plans and represent the organisation in a variety of external forums.
Perform other duties from time to time as directed or required.
Current Drivers Licence.

Minimum Qualifications Extensive industry experience, and appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as management, work health and safety, investigations, occupational hygiene or a willingness to acquire them.
