Our aim is for everyone to thrive in their role.About the roleThe Population Health Analyst is instrumental in ensuring cohealth's health promotion and inclusion initiatives are appropriately targeted to address health inequities. They will use their technical expertise to analyse and interpret quantitative data on the health of our community members and our clients, at a population level, and produce useful outputs (e.g., education content, dashboards) and visualisations to inform program and service responses.Collate, analyse and interpret quantitative data (from external and internal sources) on the health and wellbeing of the population across cohealth's catchment, as relevant to the organisation's health promotion priority areas.Establish and maintain a repository of population health data as relevant to the organisation's health promotion priority areas and other priorities as they emerge, to allow the provision of a proactive and responsive information service.Develop and maintain easy to use and interactive data visualisations / dashboards (e.g., annual profiles, factsheets, infographics) to demonstrate the knowledge held about our population's health and the impact of the Health Promotion program.What cohealth offers:Exciting parental leave benefits

Counselling services for you and your immediate family through our EAP-Access provider, and mindfulness, resilience, and wellbeing programsWe offer inclusion, equality, and opportunity in a workplace where making a difference counts (based on our guiding principles and values)Tertiary degree in public health, statistics, epidemiology or similar disciplineProof of qualification to be sightedAt least 3 years' experience extracting / manipulating / analysing raw data and turning this into intelligence, ideally in a healthcare / community planner role.Experience using statistical methods to inform needs assessments / understanding of population healthAll appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Police Check, a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-employment declaration form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 doses). Additionally, some roles will also require current AHPRA registration and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.Roles that are determined to be Risk Category A or B (staff that have direct and/or indirect contact with body substances and are at higher risk of occupational exposure to infections) will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza prior to commencement (A) or within 12 weeks of commencement (B).
