The Opportunity
This position will assist in providing excellence in pool water quality in accordance with relevant statutory regulations and codes of practice.
The role will provide appropriate and vigilant supervision of all water space in a safe, professional and friendly manner.
Further, the position will ensure the safe and healthy operation of the Noosa Aquatic Centre (Centre) for the patrons, the general public, and centre staff at all times.

Position Remuneration: Aquatics Grade 3 ($30,962 - $47,635 base annual salary) / ($35,145 - $54,069 total remuneration package and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading). The salary will be based on the age of the successful applicant.
About You
As a Pool Attendant, you will have experience in lifeguarding and water treatment and filtration services in an aquatic centre environment.
You will have the knowledge of statutory regulations, codes of practice and legislation pertaining to the execution of the Pool Attendant's duties.
Further but not limited to, you will have the ability to work flexible hours (including weekend & public holiday work), which caters for the needs and operation of the Centre.
The position's focus will be:
Assist in the cleaning, maintenance and gardening schedules including regular audit checks of standards.
Ensure the water space at the Centre is supervised in accordance with Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations (GSPO) and facility policies.
Ensure automatic dosing equipment and effective sanitation systems are correctly operating and if required report and/or rectify faults or variations immediately.
Supervise and direct other Pool Attendants and Assistants in their respective duties including lifeguarding, maintenance and cleaning.
Assist with tasks such as rostering, procurement, chemical ordering, plant room operations, Centre bookings and Centre WH&S requirements. Perform these tasks in the absence of the Pool Operations Supervisor.
Act as shift Duty Manager when rostered or as directed and ensure all shift staff comply with Centre procedures and policies including customer relation requirements, dress code, pool supervision standards and cash handling requirements.
Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position and assist operations of the facility.
