Canberra, Australia: Political Correspondent - SBSJob Vacancy: Political Correspondent - SBSLocation: Canberra, AustraliaThe RoleReporting to the Canberra Bureau Chief, the Political Correspondent, Canberra will be doing the following:Cover major National and International stories across TV, radio and online platforms often with irregular hours. A strong focus is required on the domestic political agenda.Co-ordinate and collaborate with Craft Editors and Camera Operators to deliver accurate, quality news packages and meet broadcasting deadlines.Report live from the field on breaking stories; presenting to camera and providing video web reports; provide Q and A material for Radio.File accurate, timely online copy & social media posts subject to our policy.Develop and maintain political contacts and propose story ideas in a range of areas, including national politics, foreign policy, immigration and defence.Providing production support for other journalists in the newsroom when required.
