What is the role?Applications are sought from applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Policy, Project and Engagement Officer to further strengthen the Corporate Crime and Foreign Bribery Team (CCFBT) work.
The CCFBT is a multi-disciplinary team working to improve Australia's capacity to prevent, detect, investigate and resolve foreign bribery and corporate crime matters that fall within the remit of the AFP.
The CCFBT evaluates reports of crime relating to foreign bribery and coordinates the work of the Foreign Bribery Panel of Practitioners and Experts.
In addition to undertaking its own investigations and strategic work, the CCFBT provides advice and investigation support to regional AFP teams.
Reporting to the Coordinator Corporate Crime and Foreign Bribery, the Policy, Projects and Engagement Officer is a new role and works in accordance with the support working pattern of the Australian Federal Police Enterprise Agreement 2017-2020.
Within the CCFBT, you will be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing and maintaining an understanding of the Foreign Bribery criminal environment, domestic legislation and international obligations.Analysing information and formulating strategic positions on existing and emerging foreign bribery policy and legislative issues.Drafting timely, accurate and concise briefs, talking points, presentations and advice to support the AFP's appearance and advice to parliamentary processes, government partners and other key stakeholders.Building and fostering collegiate networks with whole of government partners.Supporting requirements associated with secretariat, project management and budget responsibilities for programs, projects and panels such as the Foreign Bribery Panel of Practitioners and Experts.Assisting the development of corporate and strategic priorities for Foreign Bribery in accordance with the broader AFP strategic direction.Develop high-quality contributions to Command and Executive decision-making and administration processes, and proactively manage workflows and competing priorities.Contributing to the development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and systems which enhance the delivery of AFP operational outcomes in Foreign Bribery.Minimum RequirementsYou must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.Experience managing a multitude of stakeholders, projects and tasks simultaneously in a complex operating environment.Ability to identify opportunities for change and lead continuous improvement initiatives.Ability to be flexible and dynamic in response to changing priorities.A high level of professionalism and attention to detail.High level written, verbal and liaison communications skills.A positive learning mindset and personal drive.Selection CriteriaAchieve resultsCommunicates with influenceContributes to strategic thinkingCultivates productive working relationshipsShows personal drive and integrityTechnical knowledge and skillsApplicationPlease submit the following documents via our Jobs portal prior to the closing date and time:
