THE ROLE Working in the Prevention Policy and Design team within Family Safety Victoria, the role of the Policy Officer is to undertake and support key policy and project development activities related to primary prevention of family violence.
This includes research activities, preparation of policy papers and briefs, and secretariat functions for stakeholder meetings.
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment that requires capacity to exercise good judgement, and the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide advice, recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.Contribute to the development of policy initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives.Support the team to monitor and report on high priority issues, risks and trends and prepare and present reports, ministerial briefs, and Cabinet submissions.COVID-19 VACCINATION
The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
