Primary Objective: Prepare strategic policy and intergovernmental strategy advice on a broad range of public policy issues arising through National Cabinet and other intergovernmental forums.
Context Statement: The Intergovernmental Strategy and Reform team works across government agencies to support the Northern Territory's participation in federal relations, including the National Cabinet and the Council for the Australian Federation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Undertake research and quality evidence-based analysis to provide strategic advice on public policy issues impacting the Northern Territory.Provide project management and coordination support to senior employees and executives within the department.Review and analyze intergovernmental agreements and coordinate cross-government requests.Develop and maintain productive working relationships across stakeholders.Research and prepare reports, briefings, and correspondence.Selection Criteria: Essential: Contemporary experience in strategic policy advice with strong analytical skills.Excellent organizational skills and personal drive.Experience in secretariat support and project coordination.Well-developed communication skills.Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Desirable: Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.Knowledge of strategic policy issues in the Northern Territory.Flexibility to work outside normal hours.Baseline Australian Government Security Vetting Agency Security Clearance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
