Policy Officer - Better Regulation Taskforce Full-time Permanent Details: The Policy Officer will be a key member of the Better Regulation Taskforce.
The position will contribute to building strong relationships across the public service, with business and the community to support delivery of the Government's regulatory reform program and objectives the Better Regulation Taskforce delivers.
The Policy Officer will work in a small team in the Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development (CMTEDD) Directorate and with officers across Government.
The Better Regulation Taskforce is a Branch within the Policy and Cabinet Division which develops, implements, and coordinates key government regulatory reforms and is responsible for providing advice to the Minister for Government Services and Regulatory Reform regarding regulatory reform matters, the Chief Minister in the role of Chair of Cabinet and the Head of Service as the Cabinet Secretary.
The Branch also monitors and reports on Directorates' progress towards implementing the Government's strategic regulatory reform objectives.
Eligibility / Other Requirements: Relevant Tertiary qualifications in law, economics, business, public administration or regulation are desirable.
Notes: A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.

Please note, this position operates in an activity-based working (ABW) environment.
Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
