Location -Brisbane CBD, Queensland Rate - APS6 $60 + p/h + super Start date - Starting ASAP pending interview and security clearances.
Please note this role is a temporary assignment through Hoban recruitment About the role As an APS6 Policy Officer, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects and help create an efficient, stable marketplace for disability supports.
You will be part of a team driving positive change and contributing to reforms that improve the lives of Australians living with disabilities.
We are seeking APS6 Policy Officers across multiple branches: Home and Living Reform Home and Living Supports Home and Living Capital Pricing and Economics Partner Policy Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Lead research and analysis to inform policy development Draft and coordinate policy advice, strategy, and corporate documents Manage policy projects, identifying and mitigating risks Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders Participate in co-design initiatives, workshops, and forums Contribute to reforms in areas such as system navigation, support coordination, and Specialist Disability Accommodation Other duties as required.
What We're Looking For Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management A solid understanding of policy development processes Experience drafting and reviewing policy papers, reports, and briefings Knowledge of the disability sector (highly regarded) A relevant bachelor's degree.
Able to pass a criminal history check Must have Australian Citizenship This is a chance to contribute to meaningful policy reform that will directly impact the lives of Australians living with disabilities.
