Aboriginal applicants will be granted priority consideration for this vacancy.Primary Objective: Develop, coordinate, review, and support project, policy, and program initiatives of the Strategic Policy and Commissioning team within the Department of Children and Families.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Support complex strategic projects, ensuring alignment to outcomes through evaluation practices and provide progress reporting as required.Provide support and advice to ensure that projects are compliant with processes and accountabilities.Maintain appropriate administrative and record keeping systems.Coordinate, research, and prepare high-level briefs, submissions, reports, and correspondence to inform decision making and project implementation as required.Provide documentation support services such as formatting, editing, and distribution, as well as reviewing and finalizing Ministerial and Cabinet documents in accordance with government processes.Selection Criteria:Essential:Demonstrated experience in project management and providing high-quality comprehensive information, policy analysis, and program development advice.Demonstrated high-level written communication, reporting, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.Proven initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications and databases such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Demonstrated sound written and oral communication skills.High-level skills in maintaining data with thoroughness, attention to detail, and accuracy.Desirable:Tertiary qualification in human services, social sciences, public policy, project management, or a related field.Further Information: The recommended applicant will be required to hold a current Working with Children Clearance Notice and undergo a criminal history check.#J-18808-Ljbffr
