This includes developing policy and implementing programs to drive cultural change and public sector leadership on gender equality, and strengthen women's health, wellbeing, economic equity, safety and access to leadership.The role requires you to be a proactive self-starter with an understanding of government processes and an ability to work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment.
You will support a range of projects and core portfolio functions, including program management, preparation of a range of written products, policy development and coordination tasks.

Experience in program management and social policy will be a strong advantage.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEPrepare high quality briefings, correspondence, cabinet submissions, advice and other written products.Coordinate and provide advice to the Minister for Women, the Secretary and senior officers on gender equality and related policy issues, including Cabinet submissions and initiatives proposed by departments and agencies.Conduct policy analysis to inform the development of policy and specific projects/programs.COVID-19 VACCINATIONThe department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice, given their individual circumstances.
