The team is committed to creating a sustainable future and is seeking a passionate Policy Advisor to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. This role involves shaping and influencing policy to support the development and implementation of offshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse and interpret energy policies, regulations, and legislation related to offshore wind energy. Develop and advocate for policy positions that support the growth of offshore wind projects. Engage with government agencies, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to influence policy decisions. Provide strategic advice on regulatory and policy issues to internal teams and external partners. Monitor and report on policy developments and emerging trends in the offshore wind sector. Prepare policy briefs, reports, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of policy objectives with project goals. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to policy and regulatory changes. Support the drafting of legislative proposals and regulatory submissions. Organise and participate in industry forums, conferences, and workshops. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global best practices in offshore wind policy. Develop and maintain relationships with key policymakers and industry influencers. Assist in the preparation of public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities. Coordinate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging on policy issues. Track and analyse policy developments in international markets to identify opportunities and threats.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy Policy, Economics, Environmental Science, Political Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy policy. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy development processes. Excellent analytical, communication, and advocacy skills. Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels. Experience in preparing detailed reports, policy briefs, and presentations. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
