The Role Provide high level of technical support to podiatrists in the manufacture of foot orthoses. Maintenance and safe operation of orthotic manufacturing equipment and orthotic lab rooms. Maintaining stock levels and ordering of orthotic materials. Provide supervision, training, and education of staff in foot orthoses manufacture and appropriate use of equipment. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively including verbal and written communication with podiatry staff, clients and a commitment to work as part of a team for the production of high-quality foot orthoses. An opportunity is available for a Podiatry Technical Assistant to join the podiatry team and work with Podiatrists in manufacturing orthoses, footwear modifications and workshop maintenance. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. Details of appointment: Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 14.36 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
