In this role, you will manage the delivery of transport infrastructure planning projects and provide specialist technical expertise and advice to other professional and technical staff to ensure delivery of projects within time, quality, cost and stakeholder expectations. This role will also supervise staff within the team and manage workloads and performance. Some of your accountabilities will include:
Provision of high-level leadership and engineering experience and advice in project planning and program management including contract commissioning,contract management, performance management and design suitability for complex infrastructure projects.- Provide governance direction to ensure that planning phases and design principles are implemented in accordance with the relevant policies, standards, guidelines and legislation, and that project quality is consistent with the required standards.- Supervise and coordinate resource allocation to projects and provide reports on the progress of works including actual and forecast expenditure against baseline budget and project performance against key schedule milestones.- Manage all components of the project, while providing expert support and advice in the planning and design processes aligned with the relevant phases of corridor planning, program development, program delivery, and program finalisation.- Develop effective relations and identify networks and alliances of stakeholders to identify and address needs and manage the expectations and issues of all parties, including identifying possible political and high-risk matters to ensure they are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
Candidates must have a Civil Engineering degree and be a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) to be considered for this role.
