This role sits within The Risk Transformation Office.
The role will have a reporting line into the Head of Risk Divisional PMO.
Key responsibilities will include: Lead the portfolio PMO team to ensure Portfolio Management Standards are embedded across all initiatives within the portfolio.Provide guidance and coaching to delivery teams and PMO teams to ensure that governance is fit-for-purpose, all mandatory templates, documents, and processes are completed to high quality standards and signed off by relevant stakeholders.Lead the check and challenge of monthly Steerco and Clarity reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with health ratings and clear business narrative.Drive consistency and simplification across the portfolio.Partner with Delivery Leads and Sponsor to develop yearly proof points, metrics and facilitate completion of the portfolio IAR.Preparation and review of Steering and Risk Oversight information ensuring alignment with Delivery lead and Sponsor (proof point status, key RAID, etc.
).Ensure timely and accurate information flow from projects/programs into Reporting for senior stakeholders.What do I need? Previous experience working within Program/Divisional PMO or a combination of Delivery and PMO.Familiar with delivery frameworks, processes, and tools with a practical understanding of how to apply these in a business environment.Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with a level of ambiguity.Proven ability to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across a broad range of business functions, including senior management, project and strategy teams, and business representatives.Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence, coach and mentor people to achieve positive outcomes and to uplift team capability.A detailed understanding of project governance and ideally financial services industries.At Westpac, we're all about creating a supportive culture and ensuring our workplaces, branches, products, and services are accessible and inclusive for everyone—our customers, employees, and the wider community.
