PMO Director
Full-time Temporary with a Possibility of PermanencyDetails: The Suburban Land Agency (SLA) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director PMO to lead key functions within the SLA's Project Management Office.
This pivotal role ensures the alignment of SLA's project portfolio with organisational objectives, optimising governance, resource allocation, and delivery practices to support the ACT Government's priorities.
As a hands-on leader, the Director PMO will manage and mentor a high-performing team, while also providing expert technical support in project controls, including financial management, scheduling, risk management, and reporting.
The successful applicant will collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure compliance with best practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and deliver successful project outcomes that align with SLA's commitment to creating vibrant, sustainable communities.
This is a strategic and operational leadership role designed to evolve, preparing the PMO for future challenges and opportunities.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on strategic alignment and operational delivery.Expertise in project governance frameworks, financial management, scheduling, risk, and change management.Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and drive outcomes.A track record of implementing and refining project management frameworks to uplift organisational maturity.Eligibility/Other Requirements: The successful occupant will be required to:
Hold a relevant professional qualification or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia; orHold a relevant building degree; orHave significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.Other Requirements: As outlined above, this role requires pre-requisite qualifications and/or experience in project management and implementation or relative demonstrated experience.Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile PM, coupled with a deep understanding of contemporary project and portfolio management methodologies.Significant experience in government, infrastructure, or similarly complex environments is highly valued.How to Apply: Applicants should submit a supporting statement, addressing the Professional/Technical Skills and the Behavioural Capabilities of not more than two A4 pages outlining your skills and experience relevant to the role.
