We are seeking an energetic, motivated and results orientated individual to join our Development Assessment and Building Certification Team in providing quality services in application assessment and inspection of plumbing and drainage works for our growing City.
What we will offer you: Commencing salary of $2,997.44 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,596.93 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (11.5%).

Your new role: As a Plumbing Inspector your responsibilities will include but not limit to: Assessment of activity approvals pursuant to Section 68 of the Local Government Act 1993 for both sewer and stormwater drainage works, for residential and commercial developments.
Conduct inspections of sewer, stormwater, ensuring compliance with NSW Code of Practice and Australian Standards AS3500.
Assess plumbing and drainage designs and installations for compliance against the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011 and relevant plumbing standards and identify and assess compliant/noncompliant plumbing and drainage designs and installations with reference to the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2011.
Identify, reconcile, and provide solutions for complex plumbing design and installation challenges with applicants, plumbers, and site managers by exploring options and making recommendations.
Conduct on-site sewerage and drainage inspections associated with development applications, combined applications and complying development certificates.
Provide plumbing expertise and advice to the organisation and external customers including working with other Council directorates and participating in on-site meetings.
What you need to succeed?
To be successful as a Plumbing Inspector, you will: Hold a Current NSW Plumbing, Draining, and Gas fitting Qualified Supervisor Licence.
Hold a Class C Drivers Licence and General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
Have previous experience relevant to the role such as application assessment of plumbing and drainage works.
