This role is perfect for a candidate with plumbing experience who enjoys working in many different locations About the Role About the Opportunity Working in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas you will be responsible for overseeing and completing a variety of water metering works to residential and commercial sites. Tasks will include; exchange of existing meters, installation of new services and rectification of damages.

Key Responsibilities Exchange of water meters Complete any complex/large meter exchanges. Complete any rectification, modification or quote for works in relation to metering works. Provide technical advice to meter exchange technicians regarding metering tasks. Follow up regularly with meter exchange technicians and provide support and guidance. Ensure the standard of all work in the field is of a high quality and in accordance with approved work practices and standards required by the Client, the Company and service providers. Represent Service Stream in relation to customer complaints. Ensure all incidents are reported as per company procedure. Ensure current work practices are implemented in the field and recommend changes to ensure that any activity is performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Ensure that all tasks undertaken are performed in a manner consistent with OH & S policies and procedures of the company and the relevant state legislation. Co-ordinate and assist in the training & ongoing development of meter exchangers. Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client's network & plant. About You To be successful for this role, you will have: Relevant knowledge of the Hunter Water network and the work practices required to install and exchange water meters. Ability to resolve day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy, and independent judgement. Excellent communication skills to ensure all staff are clearly instructed on procedures, policies and targets etc. Attention to detail with high quality and workmanship. Effective time management and the ability to prioritise critical issues. Well-developed interpersonal skills Experience and Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years plumbing experience. Current plumbing licence. Relevant Industry training. Current drivers licence. OHS Construction Industry white card.
