As a Plumber & Gasfitter Supervisor, you'll lead a dynamic team and ensure the smooth operation of all plumbing and gas fitting systems across our luxury resort. Roster Mon-Fri - with a cycled weekend roster across team, providing an on-call serviceJob Security: Full-time permanent role with opportunities for career progression within our award-winning resort.Exclusive Employee Benefits:Discounts on dining, activities, and retail across the island, plus discounted accommodation for you and your guestsAccess to an internal job portal for career advancement opportunitiesRegular ferry services to the mainland with employee discountsA strong sense of community with social events, activities, and Reward & Recognition programs that reward your hard work and dedicationExperience a unique island lifestyle with access to pristine beaches and a relaxed atmosphereYour Responsibilities:Lead and supervise the plumbing and gas fitting team, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance across all tasks.Oversee repairs, maintenance, and installations of plumbing and gas systems, prioritising urgent issues to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with industry standards.Ensure all work is completed to high standards, and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.Stay up to date with regulatory compliance, ensuring work meets local, state, and federal plumbing and gas fitting regulations.Lead safety initiatives, conduct toolbox talks, and mentor junior staff to enhance skills and foster a culture of safety and teamwork.Be available for on-call duties and assist with emergency response efforts when required.What We're Looking For:Essential: 5+ years of trade experience, Plumber/Gas Fitter qualifications, QBCC Queensland Type A Gas Fitter license (or ability to obtain), QLD Driver's Licence, and ability to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).Strong understanding of plumbing systems, gas installations, and safety protocols.Proven leadership and team management skills with excellent communication and organisational abilities.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsReliable, flexible, and punctual with the ability to support operational shifts and on-call duties.Desirable: Experience with maintenance management software and in resort/hospitality maintenance environments.Why Hamilton Island?
