Council is seeking an experienced Plumber Drainer to provide construction and maintenance services and expertise to the utilities network to assist the Utilities Supervisor in the coordination of Council's water and sewerage services in all communities throughout the area of Chinchilla.
Reporting to the Utilities Supervisor, you will have:
Accountability for the provision of high level construction and maintenance standards to the utilities network operation following standard operating procedures;Experience in the construction and maintenance of water mains and services;Experience in the installation and maintenance of water meters;Experience in the construction and maintenance of sewer mains, jump ups, manholes and associated fittings.About yourself The successful applicant will have:
Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card;A Certificate III in Water Operations, or the ability to obtain this qualification within two (2) years of commencement.This position will also receive additional allowances including:
Utilities Appointed Plumbers Allowance - $67.01 per week;On Call Allowance - applicable on call allowances as per Award;Locality Allowance - Dependent on location and dependants;Tool Allowance - $32.63 per week;Utilities Operations Retention Payment - $1,500.00 (conditions apply).The benefits working for WDRC: Relocation Assistance Relocation assistance of up to $5,000 will be provided to the preferred candidate if relocating to the Western Downs Region.
