About the Opportunity
Competitive Advantage HRM & Recruitment is excited to represent a leading company in the construction sector, specialising in water treatment and dewatering solutions. Our client is known for their high-quality service and innovative approach to managing large-scale construction, industrial, and residential projects. They are looking for a dedicated Plumber/Dewatering Technician to join their growing team.
The Role
We are seeking a motivated and skilled individual with some construction experience, ideally with a plumbing trade or similar background. This role involves installing, operating, and maintaining dewatering and water treatment equipment on various construction sites. The position is hands-on and requires working outdoors, with duties including manual labour, heavy lifting, and operating independently in challenging environments. While water treatment experience is not essential, a willingness to learn the basics is important.
Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain dewatering and water treatment equipment on construction sites.
Perform manual labour, including heavy lifting of pumps, hoses, and chemical drums.
Operate independently in various outdoor environments, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
Assist in servicing and maintaining equipment using power tools and forklifts.
Conduct basic computer-based administrative tasks as needed.
Represent the company positively when interacting with clients.

The Ideal Candidate
You're someone with a strong work ethic and practical skills who enjoys hands-on work. You have some construction experience, ideally with a plumbing trade or similar background, and are eager to develop your skills further. You're adaptable, able to work independently, and not afraid of hard work or long hours.
Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in the construction industry
High-level practical problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a small team
Self-motivated with a can-do attitude

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Trade qualifications (preferably in plumbing)
First Aid and safety certificates
Construction industry training certificates
