PLT Trainee / Intern About us Verge Legal is a boutique multidisciplinary law firm based in Melbourne. Our team comprises legal professionals from diverse backgrounds who practice invarious areas of Australian law including litigation, property and commercial, family, wills & estates, and criminal law. Position summary We are seeking law students or graduates who wish to take on an internship or complete their Practical Legal Training (PLT) with us. This is a volunteer unpaid position with an opportunity for the right candidate to be offered a full-time junior solicitor position upon completion of their internship. Key duties and responsibilities Undertaking legal research.Preparing chronologies, reports and summaries.Reviewing documents and contracts.Fielding client enquiries and calls.Assisting in miscellaneous day-to-day administrative duties.Selection criteria Ability to work in a team whilst being self-directed in their learning.Open to learning and be exposed to all areas of practice.Attendance in-person at our Melbourne CBD office is required for duration of PLT.Foreign language ability desirable but not required.Apply If you wish to apply, please email your CV to ******.
