About the role We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a PLM Compliance Administrator.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing compliance documentation, tracking regulatory changes, and ensuring that our products meet global standards and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and a keen eye for maintaining accurate and up-to-date compliance records.
By successfully managing this responsibility, the PLM Compliance Administrator will ensure the PLM system becomes a central repository for all compliance data, fostering efficient ongoing compliance management and reducing the risk of non-compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities include: Conducting thorough audits of existing certification data, creating comprehensive inventories.
Supporting the development of a systematic plan to migrate existing certification data to a new PLM system.
Establishing clear links between product records, SKUs and eBOMs, and certifications and other compliance data Inputting and configuring certification data within the PLM system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Setting up version control mechanisms for certification documents within the PLM system.
Implementing and managing compliance workflows within the PLM system for streamlined document and data processes.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and certification partners to obtain missing or updated documentation.
Regularly reviewing and optimizing the configuration of certification data within the PLM system, implementing improvements.
Generating real-time reports on compliance status for internal monitoring and external audits.
Coordinating data preparation for product certifications in collaboration with internal Engineers and external certification bodies.
Managing and maintaining ongoing certifications and homologations for products in specific markets Providing support during audits or inspections, ensuring readily available and compliant documentation.
Staying informed about industry best practices and changes in regulatory landscapes.
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have: Bachelor or above in Engineering, Data science or Business discipline or related field with electrical or mechanical knowledge essential.
Experience working with Windchill or similar PLM Systems is essential .
Previous experience in a Product Compliance role, preferably within, or servicing, the electrical appliance industry.
Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Knowledge of relevant global industry regulations, standards and directives including UL & IEC Product Safety, EMC, European Low Voltage Directive, WiFi, as well as Chemical, Food and Environmental Safety regulations.
Knowledge and experience managing EESS, NOM, KC, CCC or other country level certifications a plus.
