Mackay Regional Council has a new opportunity as a Playground Maintenance Officer to join the Parks and Open Spaces team on a permanent full-time basis.
About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for inspecting and repairing Council playground and recreational equipment to ensure that it is safe, well-maintained, and compliant with Australian Standards.
Your work will directly contribute to the health and happiness of our community, particularly its youngest members.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Operational inspection of park facilities General Construction Induction Training QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent Working at Heights Medium Rigid (MR) Licence - will be highly regarded Relevant industry experience in general building maintenance and/or construction.
Practical experience in the maintenance and operation of a wide range of machinery associated with repair/maintenance and general maintenance, including power tools.
Practical experience planning and organising projects.
