PlayAbility is a community-based not-for-profit organisation, based in the Bega Valley of New South Wales.
We provide a range of services for children and families under the NDIS and through Government funded programs.
We make a significant difference in our clients' lives and are a valued organisation in our community.
As a registered NDIS provider, we offer early childhood and therapy services, as well as plan management.

The role oversees operations, drives growth, builds partnerships while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.We require a highly skilled experienced executive level person who will oversee the daily operations of PlayAbility and develop continuous improvement initiatives as the organisation continues to grow.
We require an excellent communicator who can effectively engage with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally and work with our appointed board.
You will be able to collaboratively lead multiple professional teams and will make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of procedures aligned with the organisation's strategic and operational goals.About youYou are a collaborative decision-maker and a confident communicator who values the critical role that policies, procedures, processes, and compliance play in delivering essential social and disability supports to our community's most vulnerable.
Dedicated to excellence in customer service and relationship building, you thrive in a team environment where your efforts contribute to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families every day.Key responsibilitiesDevelop and execute the organisation's strategic vision and operational plans.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and funding requirements.Lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including families, allied organisations, government agencies, community groups, and funding bodies.Oversee financial management, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation.Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities and those requiring social support.Minimum RequirementsProven experience in a senior leadership role within the not-for-profit, disability, or social services sectors.A high level of experience in managing staff across diverse teams.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.A deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in rural and regional communities.Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and funding agreements.A track record of driving organisational growth and impact.Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, allied health, teaching, or a related field (preferred).Current, or ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.Ability to communicate professionally with empathy and care when interacting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, vulnerable people including those living with or supporting others with disability, people who have, or are, suffering generational disadvantage and trauma, and others from various CALD backgrounds.Experience working in a not-for-profit community-based organisation.Knowledge and experience working in the disability and / or social services sector.An understanding of the NDIS as a funding model including a sound understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators.Knowledge of NDIS claiming and reconciliation processes.Knowledge of Echidna online client management software.For further informationFor further information about this role, please contact the Chief Operations Manager, Suzie Eruera, at (emailprotected) from January 10, 2025.To ApplyTo apply for this role, submit your application through Seek or email (emailprotected).
