As a Platform Product Owner, you lead a cross-functional squad within a Core Data Platforms, driving Platforms and outcomes that align with Data Stakeholder needs and business objectives. This role is pivotal in prioritizing work effectively and ensuring our Data Stakeholder's voices is at the forefront. By setting clear missions and priorities, you enable your squad to deliver exceptional results, balancing innovation and risk management seamlessly.
Within Momentum, Platforms comprise multiple Squads, each dedicated to achieving customer-focused outcomes. As a Platform Product Owner, you have a dedicated role within your Squad, taking on the responsibility for guiding your team towards their goals. This autonomy allows you to foster a collaborative environment where every team member can contribute to the Platform's and Tribes' missions, ultimately enhancing the overall customer experience.
What you'll do
Make daily decisions and remove blockers on behalf of the squad to ensure smooth progress and efficiency
Translate Platform purpose into clear Squad goals, ensuring members deliver desired customer and business outcomes
Develop guardrails for the Platform, acting as the technical conscience for the Squad
Lead the discovery and experimentation of ideas, delivering innovative solutions to internal customers and colleagues
Manage and prioritize the squad backlog, ensuring that outcomes are delivered effectively and on time
Ensure the squad complies with appropriate governance standards, including serving as the sign-off point for compliance
What you'll bring
10 years' experience in Technology, with at least 3 years in the Insurance or Financial Services industry
Deep understanding of Databricks, AWS, and dbt is highly desired. General understanding of Collibra and Fivetran is a nice to have.
High level of flexibility and pragmatism with the ability to adapt to change
Solid technology background, foundational asset knowledge, and experience managing change and running technology assets
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent storytelling, presentation, and communication abilities
Strong internal consultation, influencing, relationship-building skills, and experience leading people
